A lot of manual cameras tend to be big and heavy - not this one. Following in the same mould as the Olympus OM1, it offers a pro level, fully manual camera in a compact body. Around the time this was made there was a move towards more plastic parts being used in cameras, to make them more affordable. Not in this beauty though, where the build quality is as good as anything from the 60s heyday of 35mm SLR cameras. Due to this, the Pentax MX tends to be expensive, so we've paired it with a more affordable lens, to try and keep the cost down. It's a 28mm lens, so if you think what your phone defaults to, that's pretty much what you're getting - a great choice of lens for big bright skies and sweeping beaches on your summer holidays.
