Chinon is a name not well known outside of Japan. Truth is though, these guys were making lenses and film & photo equipment back in the 1940s. Over time they came to make lenses and other parts for many of the bigger brands. Kodak liked what they did so much that they bought them outright in the late 1970s, so no other competing companies could use their equipment! We've paired this camera with a great little 35mm lens, great if you think street style photopgraphy is going to be your thing.
This camera has the Pentax "Universal" mount, the M42, so you'll have a great choice of lenses to choose from in time, including plenty of great Pentax ones and some bargains ones too. Remember, the film camera only does the mechanical part of the job, it's the lens that makes the photo and effects image quality. Why not take advantage of that, and get a lower priced camera with a seriously decent lens - we think that's much better than an expensive camera and an inferior lens.
Every FILTR film camera comes with everything you need to start shooting film straight away: 2 rolls of film, new light seals & a new battery.
